When designing the symbol, we were driven by imagination and relentless refinement. Our goal is to create a symbol of Paul the Octopus that is simple, neat & noble and yet carrys a sense of humor.
We began by drawing inspiration from the unique perspective of Paul the Octopus. Recognized as an Oracle-like figure, Paul captivated the world of football with his extraordinary psychic abilities during the FIFA 2010 world cup.
This lead us to conclude that the symbol will require two pivotal elements:
A first element captures Paul's contemplative gaze through a pair of mesmerizing crystals, symbolizing his possession of an extraordinary gift of prophectic power.
A second element, with Paul holding a mysterious football, representing the hidden insights and knowledge he acquires through his mystical bond with the crystals. It is a reminder of the concealed truths that lie within the realm of football.
The symbol's purpose is to forge compelling connections between Paul's prophetic gift and the world of football competitions, captivating football enthusiasts on a profound level.Remarkably, as Paul clutches the mysterious football, it undergoes a wondrous transformation, turning into a national football adorned with vibrant national flags. This ingenious addition serves to captivate football supporters, evoking their fervent hopes that their team, represented by the national flag, will emerge victorious as the ultimate champion in the competition.
