Why US$180 as the Retail Price

Some things in life take time.

This is one of them.

I want to share with you why this shirt is priced at 180.

What you see today may look simple, but it took 15 years to bring it to life.

For 12 of those years, I stayed focused on one thing, designing the Paul The Octopus emblem. It was not a straight path. I kept refining it, adjusting it, sometimes starting over, always trying to make it better. I believed that if I gave it enough time and care, it could become something meaningful.

Eventually, I realised that having a design was only the beginning.

The next 3 years pushed me into areas I had no prior experience in. I had to learn how technology works, how apparel is made, how to build an ecommerce presence, and how to manage a supply chain. There were many moments of uncertainty, but step by step, things started to come together.

When I looked back, I realised this journey had taken 15 years.

That is 180 months.

That number stayed with me because it represents every step, every challenge, and every lesson along the way.

So when it came time to set a price, I chose something that would always remind me of that journey.

180 dollars. One dollar for every month.

It is not about justifying a cost. It is about honouring the time, effort, and persistence it took to turn an idea into something real.

To me, this number is a quiet reminder to keep going, to stay patient, and to believe in the long process even when progress feels slow.

If you choose to wear this, I hope you see more than just a shirt.

I hope you see the value of staying committed to something over time.

And every time I see the number 180, it reminds me of where this all began and what it took to get here.
